We’re celebrating the launch of our #instaGLAM collection with giveaways during each and every stop of Katy’s Prismatic World Tour. KatyCats will have their own over-the-top photo ops right on the main concourse, where they can pose with blow-ups of Katy Perry, instaGLAM-orous birthday present props, and the larger-than-life, glammed-up cake inspired by Prism.
Head for the concourse and let the COVERGIRL kiosk capture an image of you in front of the #instaGLAM cake. Here’s what else you’ll get:
If it’s really your birthday month, be sure to tell one of the COVERGIRL brand ambassadors—you could win a chance to go on stage with Katy!
Planning her 18-month Prismatic World Tour, Perry recruited designers from both the fashion world’s A-list and its avant-garde to collaborate on a set of stage costumes bigger, better, and more extravagant than ever before.
In addition to rising from a pyramid, riding a mechanical horse, and flying over the audience, Perry makes no less than nine major costume changes (plus half a dozen minor ones!) in the course of her spectacular 21-song set.
Each of the show’s six acts—Prismatic, Egyptian, Cat-oure, Acoustic, Throw Back, and Hyper Neon—has its own look, starting with a holographic, iridescent, glow-in-the-dark cheerleader skirt and halter top for Prismatic (complete with cheerleader ponytail with its own glow-in-the-dark hair extensions), then switching to a “Neo Cleo” bondage suit for the Egyptian sequence. During an acoustic interlude, Perry appears in an elegant cape and evening gown in hand-dyed silk tulle appliqued with butterflies—together with a rainbow wig with its own animated butterfly hair ornament. The show ends spectacularly, with Katy wearing the fabulous “Firework” ballgown.
“This is literally her vision come to life,” explains show choreographer Nick Florez, “She’s very hands on with the creation of every single detail.”
