  1. It's easiest to outline lips first, and then fill in with lipstick. For a more subtle blend and a no-outline look, try using lipliner after your lipstick. It takes a little practice, but its part of the art.
  2. For a more matte finish without the dry feel of matte lipstick, use lip liner over your lipstick and color in the entire contour of your lips.
