Gently dot concealer on your skin with the pad of your ring finger (this finger has the lightest touch). Concentrate on dark areas, like inner eye corners, and skin discolorations, like blemishes and spider veins.
Next apply foundation only where you need it, blending with fingertips or by dabbing with a sponge wedge. Follow with a dusting of loose powder to set your look.
Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks, blending upward toward your cheekbones. To keep blush looking fresh, don't extend it too close to your hairline—just apply to where you naturally flush.
Now define your brows. Tweeze any stray hairs to keep your brows looking groomed, then fill in brows with a freshly sharpened brow pencil. Use feathery upward strokes to avoid a harsh line.
Apply eye shadow over the entire eye area, from lash line to brow bone. Follow with a dusting of eye shadow in the hollow crease of the eye, the area above the lid and just below the bottom of the brow bone.
If you're going to use a lash curler now is the time—always use your curler before applying mascara to avoid lash breakage.
Using eyeliner, trace a smooth line at the base of your lids and into your lash line, starting at the outside of your eyes and blending inward. Follow with one or two coats of mascara.
Seal your polished look by applying lipstick or lip gloss in a color that simply enhances your natural lip color.
