Turning weakness into strength

On the show, Nicole was often called the shy, awkward redhead. But she turned that weakness into a strength, and like a battle cry for shy, awkward girls everywhere, Nicole Fox said it best: "I'm a dork, and I'm America's Next Top Model."

One Fierce Fox

Nicole describes herself as "just the girl next door." She said the experience was "amazing," and she'll never forget all the people she met, from the backstage staff to the other contestants to the judges.

"This journey was incredibly hard," she said. "I had to learn to embarrass myself and to speak, which was a struggle. Sometimes I didn't think I was going to survive the journey…I didn't think it would be OK to be that dorky girl."

But "dorky girl" Nicole proved to herself and everyone else that she had what it took to win. She describes what she felt at the moment she was announced as the winner. "I have no idea what physically happened to my body at that moment," she said. "Honestly, I felt like I was blacking out."

What's Next for Nicole

After her big win, Nicole received a $100,000 contract with COVERGIRL Cosmetics, a representation contract with Wilhelmina Models, and was on the cover of Seventeen Magazine along with a six-page spread. She's traveled the world, riding high on her recent modeling success. Fox is also studying fine arts at CU and has said her dream job would be a combination of artist, model, and writer.
